California, Los Angeles/ Olympic Spa Los Angeles

My February trip to California and the Olympic Spa was just what the Doctor ordered to get away from another brutal Wisconsin winter. As a healthcare provider, I have learned I have to take the time to take care of myself if I want to continue providing care to my patients. I have learned to accept self-care and take off a few days to get out in nature and get to the spa.  The Olympic Spa with various steam rooms, whirlpools, infrared light treatment, and massage services was the perfect escape to get out of town and get some respite. It is said ' either you slow down or your body slows you down.' Taking the time to let your body relax, get out of fight or flight mode is essential to ward off stress-related illness. Olympic Spa is upscale, professional, and reasonably priced.  I received a full body massage, meal, infrared sauna, and whirlpool treatment for well under $100. It is high end enough that you may even see some celebrities but not too much so that you won't spend an arm and a leg on your arm and leg. I treated my newly expecting sister to a spa service and day where we could just hang out and distress.

Clean lockers with fab access for your personal items

Towel and spa suit issued upon arrival.

Korean and Sushi food options available at the Olympic Spa make it much easier to spend the day relaxing during services and sauna treatments.
Little sister was experiencing some early pregnancy nausea and thought she was smiling here.
Sorry for ordering the sushi, Liz!
The food was however delicious,  I definitely finished all the orders.

I would move to California just for the year-round hiking. The sights and beauty are unparalleled!
