Napa Valley Trip August -September 2020

One of the many wonderful reasons I have been able to travel for work is going out of town to be a labor coach/ doula. The most recent time was traveling to Saint Helena for the birth of my nephew Ozzie. My brother -in laws family owns the Behrens Family Winery in Saint Helena, a beautiful family winery in Spring Mountain. Les Behrens and Lisa Drinkward own this beautiful property, winery, vineyard, and farm. Please enjoy these pictures from my serene trip.

Link here.   By Maria Teresa Noth Milwaukee, the black community, the police, addiction, first responders, and medics all collided on my first day back at work at a hospital this summer.  I have been reflecting a lot on that rainy Tuesday evening. Our department for Integrative Medicine was initially closed for a few months anticipating the pandemic.  George Floyd was brutally murdered by police just a couple of weeks earlier and civil unrest had begun before similar situations in Kenosha and Wauwatosa boiled over. The unrest in the community was palpable. Gloss on Water is another new gem in the Milwaukee Spa/ Nail Salon scene. Nestled right into the Brewer's Hill neighborhood across the way from where I have called home for the last 6 years. This area is certainly conveniently located.  Highly recommended services: manicure and pedicure and waxing services. With this place in the area, they are always accommodating to fit me in for a Gel, Mani, Pedi, or a waxing. I did try some waxing here-- ouch-- but that has more to do with my pain tolerance than the practitioner's skills! Although the esthetician was talented and professional I think I will try laser hair removal so as not to ever have to deal with that again! Try to get in on a slow day or you will have trouble getting through! Four Stars:⭐⭐⭐⭐
