Grand Geneva Well Spa

Image
Grand Geneva Well Spa stay Packages are a worthwhile experience. My sister was in town for the Holiday, so we stayed over for a few days and had a spa day as well.  Outside of the sauna, pool, and whirlpool in between services.  We purchased the Serenity For The Mind Package that includes:       - Good-to-Go 30 minute Massage    -Express Facial   -Mini Manicure  -Mini Pedicure Private locker room with key access and robe area.  For 2 hours at $207 per person plus tip, you will be hard-pressed to find a better deal at a deluxe spa. You have to be staying at the Grand Geneva to qualify for this or any other package at their Well Spa.  The package deal also gives you access to their hot tub steam room sauna fitness center. I took my sister and we decided to make a day of it. I only wish we had planned for more time to enjoy their services.  The Mini Mani/ Mini Pedis did not feel 'Mini' a...

Neroli. Bayshore, WI

Image
Neroli Bayshore is an overall hidden gem in Bayshore Mall and shopping district. The bottom half of this place is retail and part salon. I arrived a few minutes early to a backed-up waiting area. I was a little bit annoyed as it took a little while to get to the register and didn’t quite feel like the normal spa experience. Someone hastily handed me a warm towel and a ushered me upstairs. Although after a rocky start the rest of the experience was wonderful. The upstairs half is a serene spa area, complete with a locker room, complimentary Aveda products, and steam showers-- which makes getting treatment in there in and of itself worthwhile. Healthy snacks and tea are available at your disposal and there’s an extra rest area for pre-and post-treatment. I signed up for the "Stress-Fix" massage  as it applies acupressure and also to sample their essential oils (and partly because they didn’t have a deep tissue on the online menu. ) FYIs: I later found out they do provide de...

Mud, Minerals and Music: Solage Calistoga Resort and Spa

Image
August 15th, 2018 Mud, Minerals, and Music at  Solage An Auberge Resort While traveling into beautiful Calistoga I knew right away that this is a captivating and charming town. Amazing restaurants with wonderful and reasonably priced food, chic shopping area with plenty of sights for tourists and of course their famous mud baths and geothermal hot springs. There are options of hotels, spas, and resorts to enjoy the waters at every turn.  After a bit of research, I decided to go to the Solage Auberge Resort. It’s an award-winning spa that has multiple locations in California. As a Forbes Five-Star Napa Valley Resort the Auberge collection has multiple locations. Auberge Resorts Collection currently operates several clubs/spa resorts in several places in the United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Fiji. Spa Treatment: “The Mud, The Waters, The Rest.” I did the three fold 60-minute ‘mud bar’ and bathhouse treatment as it seemed the best option to experie...

Napa Valley Health Spa

Image
Pool / Hot Tub at the NVHS Massage Therapy at Napa Valley Health Spa on August 10, 2018 , While traveling for my sister's wedding, I checked out the local spas/ health clubs in the area when I visit--to learn some tricks of the trade and/m ake sure the wear and tear of travel are balanced with a massage or a soak in a hot tub. I was slightly lost getting there and rushed in 5 minutes before my appointment . My frantic attitude dissolved as soon as arrived it is charming and calm atmosphere. I am particularly picky about massages and this was wonderful and professional. The therapist used a range of motion, heat therapy, hot towels, aromatherapy, and a variety of trigger point (knot) reducing techniques. FYIs- A spa treatment automatically gives you a day pass for the entire facility. (If you just want to use the gym and pool a day pass for a weekday is $35 and for a weekend is $55.) - You receive amenities, robe, and slippers ...

Margaret Dabbs, Foot Massage in London!

Image
Margaret Dabbs foot massage in London!  It was completely accidental that I stumbled on this place while shopping at Liberty in London. I was looking for the loo and I found this steller hand and foot spa instead! It helped that it had rave reviews from UK Vogue and when I went in the staff couldn't have been more wonderful.  Relaxing and relieving foot massage and the emu oil products are surprisingly healing for the body. I had a step record the previous day from walking around London (over 25,000 steps) and my tootsies seriously needed some relief! This is a brilliant marketing plan for those of us were out shopping and weary from sightseeing! It's important to get a good self-care plan in while traveling-- and this is a great place to go!  Relaxing after my foot massage at MD London FYIs: -Call ahead to make sure you can reserve a spot! Walk-ins aren't guaranteed. Pros: A thirty-minute foot massage is very reasonable. -A great rejuvenati...

Thermae Spa in Bath Spa, Somerset United Kingdom

Image
Review:  Thermae Spa It was time well spent while in England visiting the Thermae Spa  and rooftop pool!  An entry ticket includes a towel, a robe , and   flip-flops . Experience:  What a phenomenal place! Exceptional service, and overall a surpassing quality Spa! When I arrived (after figuring out the high tech locker/wristband system) I headed straight for the roof-- and stepped into a pleasantly heated pool, whether it's the mineral pool on the first floor-- or on the rooftop pool -- definitely a delightful experience!    Again--it is the only natural hot springs in the UK with quite a bit of  history in the town!  Being told over the phone that it would be busier than usual and to arrive early and expect a line.   Pros: I was pleasantly surprised that although it was Easter week- it wasn't at all over-crowded!   Once you are in the hot, healing springs-- you will not be bothered by...

The Foot Spa in Palm Beach, Florida

Image
The Foot Spa in Palm Beach, Florida Reflexology/ Foot Acupressure Treatment I visited Palm Beach for a family vacation in December/ January 2017-2018. The Foot Spa in Palm Beach is the perfect spot to pop into if you are in the area for vacation and need a quick and convenient massage. Getting a quick foot rub and reflexology (which can help bring relief to your whole body) can be intense but bring real results!  A perfect way to get some relief if you are on vacation and-- have a time crunch!   I called to schedule that day and they had availability. Services were affordable and the place was immaculate and professional!  I like deeper pressure and the practitioner definitely came through! I highly recommend their services!  One of my favorite things to do when I have a time limit but need some self-care! Take 60 minutes and treat yourself! Four Stars!  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
